Dear Reader,
I am still working away on finishing the first draft of In Ddaera’s Embrace, the fifth and final book in my Caelestis seres, while starting to do a little research on the next Victorian San Francisco mystery. In the interim, I am continuing to discount audiobooks as well as searching for possible deals on other authors’ books that you might be interested in checking out.
For February, all the audiobook editions of full length novels and short story collections in the Victorian San Francisco Mystery series are discounted on Chirp. And for those of you who love a good historical mystery with a female private eye, do check out this 99 cent deal on M. Ruth Myer’s Maximum Moxie, (the deal is good for three more days.)
I’ve also been working hard on building a sustainable and healthy balance in my life, having just turned 74 and wanting to ensure I have as long time as possible (let’s hope decades) in which to continue my writing. I’ve discovered this means spending a good deal of each day in various forms of exercise, taking time to fix and eat good meals, and staying connected with friends and family. Those of you who subscribe to my newsletter, An Aging Author’s Daily Diversions, have watched my slow but steady progress in this area and have celebrated along with me in my successes.
However, this work to achieve balance means less time for writing, which means even longer time between books. So, first of all, I really appreciate all of you who have hung in with me and still open these monthly newsletters to learn of my progress. Knowing that most of you are waiting to hear about my new books really motivates me to keep working.
In addition, since there isn’t a lot for me to talk about in this particular newsletter, I decided to ask you all to take the time to answer the questions below, which should give me a better idea of who you all are. Next month I will also do some survey and polls to find out what you like about the newsletter and what I can do to improve it going forward.
Even if you answered these questions for my daily newsletter, I would like you to answer them here, because I suspect that the demographic make-up of the subscribers to this monthly promotional newsletter is slightly different than that of the daily newsletter subscribers. Thanks in advance to all of you who take the time to answer the questions below.

I anxiously await your next historical fiction book
Having lived in the SF Bay area while studying at the University of California, Berkeley, I am impressed with the detail and character development in your historical fiction series. Hope you can continue writing these stories for many more years!
