Dear Reader,

Finally, here in San Diego we have moved into fall. This means, at least this year, highs in 70s, lows in 60’s, gray days with a little sun mid-day, and most of the flowering plants are looking very sad because we are in our third year of drought. But the halloween decorations are busting out all over.

Because it is set in October, 1879, and Halloween plays a big part of the plot, I have discounted Uneasy Spirits, the second book in my Victorian San Francisco Mystery series. This year, between now and October 31, the ebook and the audiobook editions are only $1.99. See below for where you can get either edition.

I am still working away on Against the Tides of Acerba, the next book in my Caelestis science fiction series, and I am well into the second half of the book at 55,000 words.

And, because I like to give you all a chance to discover new authors, I’ve joined with other authors for a cozy mystery sale. For the science fiction fans among you, I’m letting you know that Winds Twelve Quarters, a collection of Ursula Le Guin’s short stories, is only $1.99 on Kindle. Finally, don’t forget to enter the AudioBook Raffle.

Happy reading,

M. Louisa

Monthly Audiobook Raffle:

This month the two winners of the raffle will get free copies of the audiobook edition of Victorian San Francisco Stories: Volume 2. These free codes are now redeemable by listeners in the United States, Canada, Australia, UK, and EU. For those of you in these countries, all you have to do is reply to this email by October 21 and say that you wish to participate, and your name will be entered in the raffle. Please check your spam folders during the following week, because I am sorry to say, often the two codes are not redeemed.

For more information about either my mystery or science fiction series, check out my website. For daily information on my journey as an indie author trying to age gracefully, check out my newsletter, An Aging Author’s Daily Diversions.
